When you write a letter to someone who you have never met, think of the kinds of things that you are wondering about them. This will give you some things to talk about in your letter. Start off by introducing yourself to your new pen pal, using your name, age and gender. Next why not tell your new pen pal where you live. What does it look like? What is the weather like? Then you can describe yourself and your family (include your mom and dad, brothers, sisters and pets!). Tell your new pen pal the things that you like to do, what you study in school and include some more personal information. Let them know your favorite color, food and music.

Since this is not email, you don't want to ask too many questions that can't be answered right away. Ask your new friend a few questions that they can answer in their return letter.
